Upper Colorado River Scenic Byway (U-128), Near Moab, Utah - USA
State Route UT-128 follows the
southern bank of the Colorado River through a narrow, steep and spectacular
gorge,
providing breathtaking views of the surrounding red sandstone cliffs. The gorge
widens as the highway proceeds past
Castle and Professor Valleys, which have been the shooting locations for many
western films including Wagon Master
and Rio Grande, along with numerous television commercials. Another popular
attracion is a viewpoint for one of the
grandest views in the west, the red rock spires of the Fisher Towers set against
the La Sal Mountains.
Die Staatsstrasse UT-128 folgt dem südlichen Ufer des
Colorado Rivers durch eine enge, steile und spektakuläre Schlucht
und bietet atemberaubende Blicke auf die umliegenden roten Sandsteinklippen. Die
Schlucht weitet sich im Bereich des

St. Louis" und "Rio Grande", sowie in diversen

Mountains.
