The Panorama Route is one of the most scenic parts of South Africa. Journeying through it travellers
will encounter deep canyons, looming rock formations, plummeting waterfalls and panoramic mountain views,
 along with quaint towns.The most scenic part of the Panorama Route is the world-renowned
Blyde River Canyon, the 3rd largest canyon and largest forested (green) canyon of the world.
Other points of Interest are Burke´s Luck Potholes, a  moon-like geological feature consisting of large,
cylinder shaped potholes in the rocky bed of the Blyde River; several Viewpoints from the top of sheer cliffs
along the edge of the Drakensberg Escarpment and a huge number of beautiful waterfalls.

Die Panorama Route führt durch eine der landschaftlich schönsten Regionen Südafrikas. Auf dieser Route
begegnen einem tiefe Schluchten, beeindruckende Felsformationen, herabstürzende Wasserfällen und
 atemberaubende Panoramablicke, sowie malerische Orte. Der landschaftlich schönste Teil der Panorama-
route ist der weltbekannte Blyde River Canyon, der drittgrößte Canyon und größte bewaldete Canyon der Welt.
Andere Sehenswürdikeiten sind Burke's Luck Potholes, eine mondähnliche geologische Besonderheit,
 bestehend aus großen, zylinderförmigen Schlaglöcher im felsigen Bett des Blyde River; mehrere
 Aussichtspunkte von der Spitze der steilen Klippen entlang der Kante der Drakensberge und eine große
Anzahl von schönen Wasserfällen.
